Asking public engagement professionals for advice, and involving numerous people, Chioma is engaging Nigerian famers in the global fight against antimicrobial resistance.

Chioma Achi is worried about the global misuse of antibiotics in agricultural practices. Her work helping farmers in Nigeria to reduce infection in livestock and use fewer antibiotics in animal feed was highlighted in the recent Vice-Chancellor’s Research Impact and Engagement Awards.

Academics, students and professional members of staff from across the ̽»¨Ö±²¥ have been recognised in this year’s Vice-Chancellor’s Research Impact and Engagement Awards for their work in areas including COVID-19 testing, PPE production and online engagement.
