̽»¨Ö±²¥ ̽»¨Ö±²¥ of Cambridge has a long and proud association with the UK armed forces and there are a number of current student organisations which maintain links with the Army, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force.
At a meeting of the Cambridge ̽»¨Ö±²¥ Students’ Union a motion was passed prohibiting any student society from bringing firearms to its annual Freshers’ Fair for new undergraduates. There was a wider debate about military representation which was not pushed to a vote.
̽»¨Ö±²¥ ̽»¨Ö±²¥ respects the right of students to hold and express differing opinions, and condemns without reservation abuse and verbal attacks directed at any student for exercising that right.
