Ensemble Klang, who have been described as 鈥榦ne of the most exciting young ensembles on the Dutch contemporary music scene鈥 will be kicking off the 2009 New Music series at Kettle鈥檚 Yard this weekend.

探花直播group, span the boundaries between contemporary classical music and pop. They work with composers throughout the creative process which results in music being written that fits the individuals in the band.

They have just returned from a successful week of performances with the Eliza Miller Dance Company in New York and were described at a recent gig in Glasgow as 鈥榮lick and convincing, delivering an impressive aural assault鈥 by the Scottish Herald.

探花直播2009 New Music series will be focusing on electronic and acoustic music by living composers. It has been devised by the Camberwell Composers鈥 Collective who are the Kettle鈥檚 Yard / Faculty of Music, New Music Associates 2008-09.

鈥淲e are thrilled to have Ensemble Klang performing at Kettle鈥檚 Yard. I hope audiences will also enjoy the chance to have a cup of coffee in the gallery beforehand鈥 Lara Gisborne, Music Administrator at Kettle鈥檚 Yard said.

Kettle鈥檚 Yard is a house with a permanent collection of modern art; the concerts will be taking place amongst the collection. Next door to the house is an art gallery with a changing range of modern and contemporary exhibitions.
