Cambridge and Oxford Women鈥檚 Eights are in their final week of preparation in advance of the 64th Women鈥檚 Boat Race which takes place over the Royal Regatta course at Henley-on-Thames听on Sunday.

Although Cambridge has the overall upper hand in the series which started in 1927, neither university has had the edge in recent years, with honours even in the last four races, but inside sources say the Cambridge Women are looking particularly fast this year.

Each crew has just one Blue returning from the 2008 event, won by Oxford who finished just half a length on the Light Blues over the 2000m course. Both eights boast a handful of athletes who have made the jump from last year鈥檚 reserve crews, and if the weather stays fair an excellent race day is in prospect.

探花直播Women鈥檚 Boat Race at 3pm is part of a four-race programme which also includes races for Lightweight Men at 3.30pm, Lightweight Women at 2.30pm and the reserves race between Blondie (for Cambridge) and Osiris (for Oxford) at 2pm.

Trophies will be presented at 4.30pm by Annie Vernon the Olympic silver medallist and world champion in Women鈥檚 Quadruple Sculls.
