Patrick Davies of Gonville and Caius College was one of 20 students to be awarded a grant of 拢4500 in total over three years to fund engineering-related travel and training.
鈥淲e travelled to the Arctic on a six-week-long research expedition studying the ice sheets. We took measurements on the remote glaciers there, and we were able to climb a number of unnamed ice-covered peaks鈥, he explained.
