An expert panel will gather for an open forum on contemporary sculpture at the Fitzwilliam Museum next week.

̽»¨Ö±²¥public are invited to hear the panel debate the changing role of the modern artist in a discussion entitled ‘Who’s the Artist?’, in Gallery 3 of the Museum between 12.45pm and 2.15pm on Thursday (January 21). Admission is free.

This event marks the last few days of the inaugural 2009 Sculpture Promenade at the Cambridge museum.

Critic, historian and author, Dr Tom Flynn will chair the forum, which will feature:

• Johannes von Stumm, president of the Royal British Society of Sculptors and exhibitor in the Promenade display

• Rungwe Kingdon, director of the Pangolin Foundry, which produces work for artists such as Damien Hirst and Anthony Gormley

• Cambridge-based sculptor Helaine Blumenfeld

• Timothy Potts, director of Fitzwilliam Museum.
