An exhibition focusing on emerging technologies and their use within the best new architecture will open at Churchill College on April 22.
InterActive: new technologies in contemporary culture will use videos, photographs and drawings to explore the most outstanding examples of architecture from both Europe and the United States of America.
Looking at emerging practices within architecture and wider multi-disciplinary fields that bring together digital technologies and virtual spaces with the physical, built environment, the exhibition has been curated by Jasmin Aber, a member of faculty at Washington 探花直播, St Louis.
Churchill College鈥檚 Dr Colin Fraser said: 鈥淎rchitecture today synthesises and integrates sound, imagery and textures as part of the architectural experience itself. Instead of defining a fixed architecture product, an interactive architecture is in a state of constant flux.
鈥淭his exhibition presents outstanding projects from around the world that incorporate such mergers into their design.鈥
Included in the exhibition are examples of work by: ART+COM (Berlin), Greyworld (London), Laboratory for Architecture and Urbanism (Brussels) and Simone Giostra and Partners (Brooklyn).
探花直播exhibition will run at Churchill鈥檚 Jack Colville Hall, the Archive Centre, Churchill College, from April 22-May 9. Entrance, between 9am-5pm, daily, is free.
