Based in Toronto, and working across national and disciplinary boundaries, CIFAR brings together some of the world鈥檚 best researchers to address the most pressing and complex issues facing individuals and societies.
Under Professor Toope鈥檚 leadership at Cambridge, sustainability and widening student access have been key areas of focus for the 探花直播, with several new and exciting research and teaching initiatives launched. These include the ambitious climate initiative , and the creation of the landmark Cambridge Foundation Year. Professor Toope has also led the university sector in pushing towards a carbon-neutral endowment fund, and has overseen remarkable progress on a 拢500 million . During his tenure, the fundraising campaign for the collegiate 探花直播 surpassed its 拢2 billion target. He has guided the 探花直播 through a global pandemic and into a programme of recovery that will help build the Cambridge of the future.
