A revised deadline for Indian postgraduate students to apply for a four-month funded Fellowship at Judge Business School, Cambridge comes up this week.

Under an agreement between 探花直播Dr D.C. Pavate Foundation, Karnatak 探花直播 in Dhawad in the state of Karnataka, southern India, and Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, outstanding graduates from Karnataka听under the age of 40 may apply.

探花直播Dr D.C. Pavate Fellowship is for a four-month period of study, with residence at Sidney Sussex College.

探花直播Pavate Fellowship at Judge Business School, effective from January 2011, is on offer to applicants from the State of Karnataka who have a good academic record and interest in any aspect of Indian business and management.

Candidates eligible to apply will hold a PhD or a first class Masters degree and have been educated for a minimum of five years continuously at an educational institution located in Karnataka, or employed in Karnataka for a minimum of five years.

探花直播fellowship will cover economy class return air fare, a stipend of 拢3500 and academic fees of 拢2700.

D.C. Pavate (1899-1979) was an alumnus of Sidney Sussex College, graduating with a distinguished academic record in Mathematics as a Wrangler in 1927. He was Vice-chancellor of the Karnatak 探花直播 at Dharwad, India (1954-67), President of the Inter- 探花直播 Board and a member of the Executive Council of Commonwealth Universities. He received the award of Padma Bhushan from the President of India and was later Governor of the State of Punjab (1967-73).

In 1999 to mark the centenary of his birth and the Golden Jubilee of Karnatak 探花直播, the Fellowship scheme was set up to commemorate the visionary contribution made by him to the 探花直播 and to the cause of education.
