探花直播Cambridge Commonwealth Trust has reached a new agreement with Blyth Education of Toronto to co-fund three full-cost scholarships for Canadian students on undergraduate courses at the 探花直播 of Cambridge.

探花直播scholarships will enable outstanding Canadian students听in听financial need to read for a BA at Cambridge.

Named Blyth Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholarships, they will be available to applicants for entry in October 2011, and are tenable at any College and in any subject except Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. 探花直播scheme complements the Blyth Cambridge Scholarship at Pembroke College, which is co-funded by Blyth Education and the College.

Sam Blyth (pictured), the Managing Director of Blyth Education, studied Archaeology and Anthropology at Pembroke, and also studied at the 探花直播 of Paris. A former Chairman of the Cambridge 探花直播 Canadian Trust, he has taught at the 脡cole St. Louis de Gonzague in Paris, has lectured widely in Canada and the US, and has won two Canadian Business Excellence Awards of Merit.

Commenting on the new scholarship scheme, he said: 鈥淚 am delighted to support undergraduate scholars from Canada attending Cambridge. I had the advantage of a Cambridge education as a young Canadian. These awards are an expression of gratitude, as well as a gift to听Canadian scholars who should excel at the university.鈥

Blyth Scholars is one of the network of Blyth Education organisations, which include the Blyth Academy (with four campuses in Ontario), Blyth International Summer Programs, and Blyth Community Service.

探花直播Cambridge Commonwealth Trust was founded in 1982 by the 探花直播 of Cambridge, as a charity to support international students from member countries of the Commonwealth. 探花直播Trust currently supports over 600 students at the university, on all levels of degree courses, including 94 Canadian students.
