Dr Martin Vinnell has been appointed to the position of Health and Safety Director at the 探花直播 of Cambridge, commencing on 1 September 2008.

For the past seven years, Martin has been the Safety Officer for the School of the Biological Sciences, 探花直播 Biomedical Support Services and Health & Safety Adviser for Downing College.

Coming from a research background (with a PhD in Molecular Biophysics), Martin initially made the move into Health & Safety in 1997, becoming the Safety Officer for the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, 探花直播 of Oxford before joining Cambridge.

Dr Jonathan Nicholls, 探花直播 探花直播 Registrary, welcomed the appointment: 鈥淗ealth and Safety is an integral part of the overall good management and best practice of the 探花直播.
