Tony Award-winning musical Into the Woods will be staged next week by the 探花直播's Amateur Dramatic Club.

探花直播play, penned by Stephen Sondheim, lyricist of Oscar-winning musical Sweeney Todd, explores the power of wishes and the nature of desire.

Blending familiar fairy tales with an original story line, the musical will take young and old alike on an amazing journey of fairytale and reality.

In the first act the characters set out to achieve their goal of living happily ever after.

Cinderella wants to go to the Ball and capture the heart of Prince Charming, Little Red Riding Hood tries to survive her clash with the wolf, and a couple hoping to have a child are set to make it all happen.

When all characters seem poised to live 'happily ever after' the musical takes an unpredicted turn and deals with the consequences of what happens afterwards.

As the characters face reality, they realize that all actions have consequences.

Into 探花直播Woods is an enthralling mix of fantastically funny and deliciously dark situations. In 1988, Into 探花直播Woods was conferred the Best Musical award by the New York Drama Critics Circle. Runner-up was the Phantom of the Opera.

探花直播play runs at the ADC Theatre, on Park Street, from March 11 to 22 at 7.45pm Monday to Saturday (Saturday matinees at 2.30pm). On Wednesday March 19 a school matinee will take place at 1pm.
