A discount public transport scheme for 探花直播 staff and students has been so successful it is being extended.

Stagecoach offered discounted 50p fares to holders of the 探花直播 Card on all its Cambridge 'citi' bus services throughout November and December.

There has been a significant increase in bus use over this period by 探花直播 staff and students.

探花直播discounted fare scheme has now been extended to the end of January 2007, when it will again be reviewed.

  • Citi1 Arbury - City Centre - Train Station - Addenbrooke's - Cherry Hinton - Fulbourn (not including the Citi1 nightbus service)
  • Citi2 Milton - City Centre - Addenbrooke's
  • Citi3 Cherry Hinton - Train Station - City Centre - Fison Road
  • Citi4 Cambourne - West Cambridge - City Centre
  • Citi5 Bar Hill - City Centre
    Citi6 Oakington - Girton - City Centre
  • Citi7 between Histon - City Centre - Stapleford only (50p fares are not available beyond Histon or Stapleford)

Paul Milliner of the 探花直播's Estate Management and Building Service, who is responsible for the 探花直播's Travel Plan, said: "This is very good news for the 探花直播 and for Cambridge as we have seen a significant increase in bus use in the city. We hope very soon to be able to announce a permanent arrangement with Stagecoach in weeks."

探花直播trial does not affect the 探花直播-subsidised Uni 4 bus connecting West Cambridge and Addenbrooke's with the City Centre at Silver Street, which costs 50p per trip on production of a valid 探花直播 Card.

More than 6,000 trips were made each week on the Uni 4 last term.
