Doctor Who monsters invade 探花直播 for 2008 Science Festival

A horde of dastardly Doctor Who monsters, including Cybermen, Daleks and 探花直播Ood seized control of the 2008 Cambridge Science Festival this weekend.

Classic monsters from the television series were seen roaming around King鈥檚 College and the streets of Cambridge as part of a special Doctor Who exhibition for Science Saturday 鈥 the festival鈥檚 flagship event.

An estimated 15,000 people visited Cambridge to learn about everything from polar bears and climate change to backyard bio-diversity. 探花直播 buildings and sites across the city welcomed visitors to a wide range of talks, exibitions and hands-on activities, nearly all of which were completely free.

Celebrity alumna Carol Vorderman joined the 探花直播鈥檚 Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alison Richard, to officially open the event. 探花直播display of Doctor Who monsters was accompanied by a presentation by Dr Paul Parsons on 鈥 探花直播Science of Doctor Who鈥, exploring some of the scientific ideas behind the popular show.
