Women who want to change their future are being enlisted in a new course which aims to encourage them into higher education.

探花直播Entering Higher Education Course is being run for the first time by Lucy Cavendish College and the Cambridge Women鈥檚 Resources Centre. It starts on 7 June and runs for five Saturday mornings.

Each workshop focuses on a different issue. 探花直播aim is to demystify the higher education process and get women to apply.

探花直播workshops focus on everything from how to finance your studies, how to apply and academic preparation to building your confidence. There is also a session on women鈥檚 experience of university as adult learners and looking at the different ways you can access higher education, whether through one of the local universities or a further education college.

Jane McLarty, admissions tutor at Lucy Cavendish College, says: 鈥淚t鈥檚 a complete how to kit for getting to university and aims to demystify the whole process of applying to university. Lots of women, especially those with children who are themselves going to university, think they have missed out. This course is for them.鈥

She added that many women are put off from applying to university by the perception that it is expensive. 探花直播finance session will offer advice on student bursaries and other financial support.

Another area which can put women off applying to university is time. Representatives from the Open 探花直播 will also be on hand during the workshops to explain how women can study part-time.

探花直播cost of the course is 拢50 for all five sessions and there are discounts for people on benefits.
