Though the demands of college and department preclude his spending much time painting in Cambridge, he looks forward to time spent in his Paris flat where he has produced many of his recent paintings.

Though the demands of college and department preclude his spending much time painting in Cambridge, he looks forward to time spent in his Paris flat where he has produced many of his recent paintings.
Fifty of his works are now on display in Clare Hall. Most of them are for sale, and the proceeds will benefit the Clare Hall Art Committee.
Professor Salje has clearly adopted an expressionist style, though the works vary considerably in approach, nature and content. Several bear resonance with myth and religious narrative.
As an introduction to the exhibition, he has written:
鈥淭o be passionate and creative are hallmarks for scientists as for artists alike. 探花直播visual arts, oil paintings in particular, have fascinated me as far as I can think back - and so did science. It was not always possible to paint when and where I wanted but the rushed few moments when I could were bliss.鈥
探花直播exhibition is open daily to members of the university and the public from 9am to 6pm, and it continues until 13 April.
With a reputation as an internationally diverse, intellectual centre of excellence, Clare Hall has an informal approach to life with the President, Fellows, Visiting Fellows and Graduate Students forming an integrated academic society. Families are also genuinely welcome into this unique collegiate atmosphere.
