New Hall is hosting an exhibition of Michelle Hungerford鈥檚 work until 15 May.

探花直播Australian artist will provide a stunning array of work which will give the viewer an insight into the unique colours and textures of the Australian scrub. Those who have never been to Australia will find the work a visual treat and a sharp contrast to the landscape of Cambridgeshire.

鈥淭his series of work is based on living in a bush environment and responding to the light and structure of the landscape,鈥 said Michelle.

鈥 探花直播Australian bush has for many years provided a poetic framework for the Australian way of life and the Australian character. Within the simplest structures of the Australian bush visually, can lie the greatest complexities emotionally. Since living out of town the bush has had a strong spiritual impact and healing influence on me and this is reflected in the expressive quality of my work.鈥

This will be Michelle鈥檚 second visit to Cambridge as an artist. In 2003 one of her works was gifted to the New Hall Art collection and is now on permanent show at New Hall. That work, entitled Rich Material II, is a 3 metre high abstract oil painting depicting the space and colours of the rural landscape around Michelle鈥檚 home in Tamworth, New South Wales.
