Advancing by degrees, an exhibition capturing 800 years of university development, learning and student life, opens at Cambridge ̽»¨Ö±²¥ Library tomorrow as part of the university’s 800th Anniversary celebrations.
A spectacular exhibition has brought together the Fitzwilliam Museum’s most important acquisitions for the first time – in celebration of one of its most renowned directors.
A stunning display of 2000-year-old tomb treasures from Ancient Georgia has opened at the Fitzwilliam Museum for its only UK showing.
More than 1,100 alumni and guests came back to Cambridge last weekend for the ̽»¨Ö±²¥â€™s 18th annual Alumni Weekend.
Free tours of the ̽»¨Ö±²¥ of Cambridge, offered as part of Open Cambridge, are booking up fast. Taking place on Saturday 13 September, Open Cambridge is a new initiative which will give hundreds of people the chance to see some hidden treasures and enjoy both buildings and gardens.
Recent funding will enable collaboration between classicists and museum curators, and shape a major re-display of Greek and Roman art and archaeology.
Marcus Hunter took his GCSEs at Four Dwellings High School in Birmingham and was encouraged to apply for the GEEMA summer school by his head of year. GEEMA is the Group for Encouraging Ethnic Minority Applications to Cambridge. He is now an A Level student at Lordswood Girls High School (Mixed) Specialist Sixth Form. Marcus was one of 40 students from around the country to take part in last week’s summer school, which was based at Newnham College and the Faculty of Law. He is interested in studying law.
