A new ‘brain training’ game designed by researchers at the ̽��ֱ�� of Cambridge improves users’ concentration, according to new research published today. ̽��ֱ��scientists behind the venture say this could provide a welcome antidote to the daily distractions that we face in a busy world.

Would you eat a burger that had been grown in a lab? It may not be long before this is a choice at your local supermarket. Given the environmental cost of rearing cattle for meat, this is a development that cannot come soon enough.

Andy Neely is Cambridge’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise and Business Relations, a role which oversees the ̽��ֱ��’s activities in innovation, commercialisation and entrepreneurship. After six months in the role, he sees an entrepreneurial ecosystem that may appear complex at first – but a deeper examination reveals a combination of knowledge, expertise, support and infrastructure that makes Cambridge one of the most enterprising and entrepreneurial cities in the world. 

Researchers have successfully incorporated washable, stretchable and breathable electronic circuits into fabric, opening up new possibilities for smart textiles and wearable electronics. ̽��ֱ��circuits were made with cheap, safe and environmentally friendly inks, and printed using conventional inkjet printing techniques. 

̽��ֱ��stirrings of a revolution are starting to ripple through hundreds of laboratories. It’s a revolution that aims to result in new medicines – faster and with fewer failures – and it’s being led by three UK universities and three global pharmaceutical companies.
